This Privacy Policy describes how Truspary ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform at truspary.com. By using Truspary, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
⚠️ No Refund Policy: All payments made to Truspary — including subscription fees, plan upgrades, and one-time payments — are strictly non-refundable. Once a payment is submitted and verified, no refunds will be issued under any circumstance. Please review your plan carefully before making payment. By completing a payment, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use Truspary:
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
- Profile data: Resume, work experience, bar admission, practice area, LinkedIn URL, profile photo, bio, skills, and other information you choose to add.
- Job activity: Jobs you apply to, save, or post; applications you receive or send; messages between users.
- Payment data: Transaction reference numbers (UTR), payment screenshots, and plan details. We do not store full card numbers — card payments are processed by third-party providers.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, browser type, device type, and IP address, collected via Google Analytics.
- AI interaction data: Prompts and responses when you use Truspary Intelligence AI features, used to generate responses and improve service quality.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To connect candidates with recruiters
- To process and verify payments
- To power AI features including resume review, cover letter generation, and career coaching
- To send transactional emails (signup confirmation, payment verification, notifications)
- To improve our platform using aggregated analytics
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited cases:
- Between users: Candidate profiles are visible to recruiters on the platform based on your privacy settings. Recruiter contact information is visible to candidates in active conversations.
- Service providers: Firebase (Google) for hosting and database, Resend for transactional emails, Groq for AI features. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
4. AI Features & Data Processing
Truspary uses Groq's AI API to power Truspary Intelligence features such as resume review, cover letter writing, interview preparation, and career coaching. When you use these features:
- Your prompts and inputs are sent to Groq's servers for processing via secure server-side Cloud Functions
- Your API interactions are never exposed to the browser or client side
- AI-generated responses are stored in your account history for your reference
- We do not use your AI interactions to train third-party models
🔒 All AI API calls are made server-side — your data never passes through your browser to third-party AI providers directly.
5. End-to-End Encryption (Safe Chat)
Truspary offers an optional Safe Chat feature using AES-256-GCM end-to-end encryption for messages:
- When enabled, messages are encrypted in your browser before being sent to our servers
- Encryption keys are stored locally in your browser — Truspary servers never have access to your plaintext messages
- If you clear your browser data or switch devices, encrypted messages may become unreadable
- Safe Chat is opt-in and can be enabled or disabled per conversation
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase infrastructure (us-central1 region). We use:
- Firestore security rules to ensure users can only access their own data
- Firebase Authentication — passwords are hashed and we never store plaintext passwords
- HTTPS for all data transmission
- Firebase Secret Manager for secure API key storage — keys are never exposed in client-side code
- Role-based access control — candidates and recruiters can only access appropriate data
7. Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our platform. This uses cookies and collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on. We also use Firebase Authentication cookies to keep you logged in.
8. Your Rights & Controls
- Access: You can view and edit your profile data at any time from your dashboard.
- Privacy controls: You can control what contact information is visible on your public profile from Dashboard → Profile → Privacy Settings.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and data by emailing info@truspary.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
- Data portability: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.
- Opt-out of AI features: You can choose not to use AI features — they are entirely optional.
9. Profile Privacy Settings
Truspary gives you granular control over your public profile visibility. From your Profile → Privacy tab, you can control:
- Whether your profile is publicly visible
- Whether your email address is shown publicly
- Whether your phone number is shown publicly
- Whether your LinkedIn profile is shown publicly
- Whether your website is shown publicly
By default, your profile is public but contact details (email, phone) are private.
10. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Message history and application records may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion for legal and operational purposes.
11. Children's Privacy
Truspary is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us at info@truspary.com.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of Truspary after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
